DIRECTOR AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
SOPHIA DE SILVA
Director of Band + Treasurer
Is currently a teacher for Jun Javier Academy of Music. She is a multi-instrumentalist trained by Maestro Jun Javier, who normally plays the bass for the band.
Outside of the band Sophia is a rock climber who manages a local rock climbing gym.
GELI BUHAT
Assistant Director + Vice President
Is currently a teacher for Jun Javier Academy of Music. She is a multi-instrumentalist trained by Maestro Jun Javier, who normally plays the drums, trumpet or sings for the band.
Outside of the band Geli is a student and rock climber who sets climbs at the local gym.
WOODWINDS
KATRINA SALUDES
Katrina is our lead woodwind player and former teacher at Jun Javier Academy of Music. She was trained by Maestro Jun Javier from 2001 and has been involved in band activities ever since.
She is currently working as a Band Instrument Repair Technician.
JEFFREY ESTRELLA
President
Jeffrey is a former student of Jun Javier learning flute and saxophone. He joined the band in 2008 during our USA Tour, and frequently plays the tenor saxophone for Praise and Worship at his Church.
Jeffrey works as a Paramedic for the NSW Ambulance.
TASHA REYES
Tasha is a current student at the Jun Javier Academy of Music learning to play saxophone and flute. She is working towards completing her third grade AMEB Flute Exam.
Tasha recently completed her HSC.
SEAN DALY
Sean is the newest addition to the band, playing the alto saxophone. He has been playing the saxophone since Primary school.
Currently he is studying Civil Engineering.
BRASS
ALFREDO PRIBADI
Secretary
Alfredo is a former student of Jun Javier Academy of Music, who originally learnt to play the drums. He was then encouraged by Jun Javier to learn the Trumpet and has been playing in the band since 2011.
He is currently a Software Engineering Student and has a Diploma Audio Engineering and Sound Production.
RAELENE PATIAG
Raelene is a current student at the Jun Javier Academy of Music who started her music journey as a Guitarist. She was introduced to the Trumpet through a Spring performance held at the school.
She is currently a Forensic Science Student.
JUSTIN LIU
Justin first started out in the band as a snare drummer for our marching gigs. During his time at the band he has been apart of the woodwind section where he was playing the saxophone. Currently he is apart of the Brass section where he now plays the Trumpet. Occasionally he plays the drums and bass.
He is a software engineer outside of the band.
CLARENCE FIALA
Public Relations
Clarence is our lead trombonist and was a former student at Jun Javier Academy of Music. He was trained by Maestro Jun Javier from the early 2000s and has been involved in band activities ever since.
Outside of the band Clarence also does competitive weightlifting.
RHYTHM
THANH NGUYEN
Thanh was recruited to play the snare drum for one of the band’s marching performances, and was encouraged to continue playing for the band as our pianist. She occasionally sits AMEB exams while completing her Engineering Studies.
